Usage Instructions
1. Preparation
-
Work Area: Ensure you’re working in a well-ventilated area. Wear gloves and safety goggles to prevent skin and eye contact.
-
Printer Setup: Make sure your 3D printer is clean and properly leveled. Shake the resin bottle thoroughly (for about 30–60 seconds) before pouring to ensure even consistency.
2. Pouring the Resin
-
Carefully pour the resin into the printer's resin vat, filling to the recommended level indicated by your printer manufacturer.
-
Avoid overfilling, as it may cause spillage during printing.
3. Printing
-
Wavelength Compatibility: Ensure your printer uses a 405 nm UV light source (standard for most LCD 3D printers).
-
Layer Exposure Time:
-
Black/White screen: 1–4 seconds per layer
-
Color screen: 7–15 seconds per layer
-
-
Start your print and monitor the first few layers to confirm adhesion to the build plate.
4. Post-Processing
-
Cleaning: After printing, gently remove the print from the build plate. Rinse it thoroughly in 95%+ isopropyl alcohol (IPA) using a wash station or container. Agitate gently to remove uncured resin.
-
Drying: Let the print dry completely before curing.
-
Curing: Use a UV curing station or place the model under a 405 nm UV lamp or in direct sunlight. Cure for 2–5 minutes or until the model is fully hardened (time may vary based on size and thickness).
5. Resin Handling & Storage
-
Unused Resin: If you have resin left in the vat, pour it back into the bottle using a filter to catch cured particles.
-
Storage: Store the resin in a cool, dark place, tightly sealed. Avoid direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
-
Shelf Life: Check the expiration date on the bottle; typical shelf life is 12–18 months when stored properly.
6. Safety & Disposal
-
Always wear gloves when handling resin and cured prints.
-
Avoid direct skin contact; if contact occurs, wash immediately with soap and water.
-
Dispose of resin waste (including soaked paper towels and cured fails) in accordance with local hazardous waste regulations.
