This high-powered blue diode laser module features selectable 20W, 40W and 60W optical output modes, allowing the laser power to be adjusted for different engraving and cutting applications. It can be installed on compatible CNC routers, laser engravers and other suitable motion systems equipped with PWM control.

The module operates at a wavelength of 450nm ±10nm and uses dual high-speed cooling fans running at up to 6000rpm. The built-in air-assist nozzle can be connected to an air pump or compressor to remove smoke and debris from the cutting path, reduce scorching and improve cutting performance.

Lower output modes are suitable for detailed engraving and lighter materials, while the higher output settings provide increased power for cutting thicker or denser materials. Cutting performance will depend on the selected output mode, material type, material colour, focus, travel speed, air pressure and number of passes.

Includes:

  • 1 x 20W/40W/60W selectable-output laser module
  • 1 x Driver Adapter 2.0
  • 1 x Input cable
  • 2 x Spare protective lenses
  • 1 x Sliding mounting plate
  • 2 x M4 × 30mm adjusting screws
  • 1 x 2mm L-shaped Allen key
  • 1 x Air tube, approximately 8mm OD × 5mm ID
  • 1 x 24V power adapter
  • 1 x Power cable

Compatible Materials

Engraving:

  • Wood
  • Bamboo
  • Cardboard
  • Veneer
  • Dark-coloured acrylic and Perspex
  • Selected plastics
  • Leather
  • PCB board
  • Anodised aluminium
  • Painted or coated metal
  • Metal treated with a suitable laser-marking spray

Bare or reflective metal should not be engraved without applying a suitable laser-marking spray, tape or coating. Reflected laser light may damage the module and create a serious safety hazard.

Cutting:

  • Plywood
  • Cardboard
  • Veneer
  • Dark-coloured Perspex and acrylic
  • Selected plastics
  • Wood
  • MDF
  • Leather

Clear, transparent and light-coloured Perspex generally does not absorb the 450nm blue laser wavelength effectively and may not be suitable for cutting.

Connecting the supplied air tube to a suitable air pump or compressor is strongly recommended when cutting. Air assistance helps clear smoke and debris, reduces scorching and can significantly improve cutting quality and efficiency.

Important Laser Safety Information

This is an extremely powerful laser module capable of causing permanent eye injuries, severe burns and fires if operated incorrectly.

  • Always wear certified laser safety glasses suitable for a 450nm blue diode laser.
  • The protective lens fitted to the module does not replace suitable laser safety glasses.
  • Operate the laser inside a properly enclosed and ventilated laser enclosure.
  • Keep people, children and animals away from the machine while it is operating.
  • Never look directly at the laser beam, cutting point or reflected light.
  • Never place your hands near the laser while it is powered.
  • Never leave the laser operating unattended.
  • Keep a suitable fire extinguisher nearby.
  • Ensure the material is securely positioned before starting.
  • Use suitable extraction to remove smoke and fumes.
  • Do not engrave PVC, vinyl or unidentified plastics, as they may release toxic or corrosive fumes.
