The MASSO Optical Encoder provides contactless spindle feedback for MASSO-controlled lathes, delivering quadrature signals for multi-pass threading. Its optical sensing design has no moving parts, providing accurate feedback without mechanical wear within the sensor.
Designed to mount in front of your lathe spindle pulley, the encoder reads a printed encoder disc label without requiring additional pulleys or timing belts. It operates from a 12–24V DC supply and mounts using M3 screws, making it suitable for new installations and lathe conversions.

Installation note: Prepare the encoder disc label using MASSO’s encoder disc generator and follow the manufacturer’s mounting and wiring instructions. Reversed power polarity will damage the sensor.
